English Language Training

For many young Nicaraguans, acquiring bilingual skills in Spanish and English is one key to getting a good job.  However for many, the cost of English language schools is prohibitive.  At Casa Xalteva we are offering free or low-cost options for learning English in evening classes.  We currently use volunteers, but we are working to set up English teaching internships so that we can rely on longer-term, trained teachers to provide our instruction.  If you are interested in an English teaching internship at Casa Xalteva, contact Dr. Ken Carpenter at ken@casaxalteva.org.
