Homestay

Our homestay families are a major part of the language learning experience at Casa Xalteva, and we select our families very carefully to make sure students have comfortable accommodations, a warm and supportive atmosphere, and good meals.   The homestay arrangement is also an important contribution to the local economy.  Many of our families earn needed extra income by providing for students.  It also benefits the local community, by bringing Nicaraguans and international students together to learn from each other, gain intercultural skills, and improve international relations through "personal diplomacy."
