Community Service Programs

Casa Xalteva strives to be a good neighbor and to help with community development projects in and around Granada.  In the past we have helped finance home purchases and remodeling for low income residents.  We also provided the concrete aquaducts and other construction materials to replace a deteriorating sewer line in a poor neighborhood in Granada.  Our student volunteers have helped with neighborhood clean up projects, and helped paint and repair public schools and other public facilities.  We also sponsored a program to provide free eye examinations and free glasses for children, working with a Boston opthomologist.Casa Xalteva has also organized sport events and leagues for children (Baseball, basketball, chess, soccer) in Granada.
